Chapter 3 - Christmas Town

Next morning, Makarov stopped his car next to an old mansion, Natsu's home. The cat band was sleeping until they woke up after hearing Makarov closing his car's door, carrying lots of paper.

"Morning, tents!" he turned to the cat bad.

He walked to the stairs, humming the song of last night and ringed bell. He wait excitedly.

"Natsu, you home?" he called.

His face turned into a worried one, he knocked the door and switched his face back to normal.

"Natsu? I've got the plans for the next Halloween! I need to go over them with you so we can get started!" he called again, but no response. He switched his face to worried again and called, "Natsu, please, I'm only an elected an official here! I can't make decisions by myself!" he got a megaphone and yelled up at the tower, "Natsu, answer me!!"

He soon tripped and fell down the stairs.

"He's not home." one of the cats said.

"Where is he?" Makarov asked.

"He hasn't been home all night." Cat Jazz replied.

"Oooooh." Makarov groaned.

Back to the forest, Natsu and Happy were still making their way. Natsu yawned, "Where are we? It's someplace new."

"Not sure. I never been here before." Happy replied.

They soon noticed an area with surrounding trees. They walked at them nearby as Natsu's eyes widen in surprise, "What is this?"

The trees had a door each one, with a holiday design on each one. Natsu stared at them, but he was more surprised as he stared one tree with a christmas tree decorated door. He was so curious and awed that he walked next to it.

"Maybe I can find here what I'm just looking for." he whispered.

He grabbed the knob and opened the door. He saw there was nothing but darkness.

"Uh... Natsu?" Happy asked a bit unsure.

Suddenly, a wind came and pished Natsu into the tree as he yelped, "Whoa!!"

"Natsu!!" Happy yelped too and followed him, before the door closed.

Natsu yelped as he span into a kind of portal.

He soon groaned as he opened his eyes, but he soon saw a beautiful place with snow, music, lights and cheers. Natsu was surprised, but his hand got stuck on the snow. He removed it and saw some snow on it, but he ate it.

(PS: I know Natsu eats fire, meat and stuff, but since he's an undead on this fanmake he can eat everything)

As he look at the town, he saw a train and Lemmings skating on a frozen pond. He wanted to get a better look, but he tripped and turned into a large pill of snow. He got out and sang.

Natsu: What's this? What's this?
There's color everywhere

Natsu grabbed a snowflake and looked at it as he walked.

What's this?
There's white things in the air

He got surprised as the snowflake burst after being hit by a snowman's carrot nose.

What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming
Wake up, Natsu, this isn't fair
What's this?

He hid on the snowman and watched the Lemmings riding sleighs and toy polar bears, singing carols, etc.

There's something very wrong

There are people singing songs

The streets are lined with
Little creatures laughing
Everybody seems so happy
Have I possibly gone daffy?

Natsu leaved the snowman, making it to fall, as some Lemmings stared at it in confusion. Natsu walked as he held the snowman's umbrella standing to a lamp pole, spying more Lemmings playing a snowball fight.

There are children throwing snowballs here
Instead of throwing heads
They're busy building toys
And absolutely no one's dead

Natsu used the umbrella's handle to pull a line of lights to himself and inspected in wonder.

There's frost on every window
Oh, I can't believe my eyes
And in my bones I feel the warmth
That's coming from inside

He looked at a window and watch a Lemming couple under a mistletoe. The female Lemming kissed the male Lemming on his cheek as he blushes.

Oh, look
What's this?
They're hanging the mistletoe, they kiss
Why that looks so unique, inspired
They're gathering around to hear a story
Roasting chestnuts on a fire
What's this?

He saw on another window a decorated tree with ornaments.

What's this?
In here they've got a little tree, how queer
And who would ever think
And why?

They're covering it with tiny little things
They've got electric lights on strings
And there's a smile on everyone

He laughed jumping to another roof.

So, now, correct me if I'm wrong
This looks like fun

Oh, could it be I got my wish?

Natsu opened the window and entered. Inside, he saw little Lemmings sleeping on their beds.

Oh, my, what now?
The children are asleep

He looked surprised under the bed.

But look, there's nothing underneath
No ghouls, no witches here to scream and scare them
Or ensnare them, only cozy little things
Secure inside their dreamland

He sighed happily as he stood next to a little sleeping Lemming.

What's this?

He ran off as the little Lemming woke up in confusion.

The monsters are all missing
And the nightmares can't be found
And in their place there seems to be
Good feelings all around

Instead of screams, I swear
I can hear music in the air
The smell of cakes and pies
Is absolutely everywhere

Natsu goes down a tinsel line, using the umbrella's land, going near to a window which has sweet things to eat. He let go of the umbrella, just to land inside a carousel that was moving.

The sights, the sounds
They're everywhere and all around
I've never felt so good before
This empty place inside of me is filling up
I simply cannot get enough

He jumped in the sky and landed on a moving train, he jumped off landing on a sled, riding down a hill and jump off, before running.

What is this place that I have found?

But he rammed into a big red and white pole causing him to fall backwards to the snow. His head came out of the snow and looked up to see the sign in the top of the pole.

"Christmas Town?" Natsu asked, "Hmm..."

Suddenly, he heard a voice and turned to a building as its door opened, showing in the shadow a peculiar image saying, "Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!"

"Hmm..." Natsu stared in curiosity.
